Summary
Chronic Pain and Dementia
Chronic pain, especially pain in multiple locations, is linked to a higher risk of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease, and may also contribute to faster cognitive decline and hippocampal atrophy. We will look at the increased risk, fast cognitive decline, potential mechanisms, pain in people with dementia, and early detection and management.
This program is a part of our monthly Care Partner Training series.
This class will be held both virtually and in-person in Fairfax. You are signing up as a virtual attendee. Virtual attendees will receive Zoom information prior to the class.
