Care Partner Training: Dementia and Firearms: Navigating a Difficult Situation (Virtual)

Summary

Dementia and Firearms: Navigating a Difficult Situation

Dementia-related illnesses can impact a person’s senses and abilities to carry out complex tasks—such as operating a firearm—safely, endangering the welfare of themselves and others. However, losing the independence of doing something that they’ve done for many years can be very difficult to accept. This presentation will teach caregivers how to navigate these difficult situations respectfully to keep themselves and their loved ones safe.

This program is a part of our monthly Care Partner Training series. All sessions are FREE, and held the second Wednesday of each month from 1:00 to 2:30 pm.

This class will be held both virtually and in-person in Fairfax. You are signing up as a virtual attendee. Virtual attendees will receive Zoom information prior to the class.
Event Registration is closed.
